They also discuss a Vietnam War veterans protest ("God, it's an awful looking group"), an article about Edmund Muskie and Trotskyites, and the Supreme Court and busing. Toward the end of the conversation Nixon learns that Ted Kennedy and other important Democratic senators missed an important vote. He wants Colson to "have a little fun with them" about this.
